I’m about to finish a Reiki 1 course tomorrow and I will start another in two weeks. It never fails to amaze me how much the students appreciate the classes, how much they feel deflated when they realise that ‘next week is your last class’. I have no expectations about how the class will work for the students and I ask them to keep an open mind too. It’s when we let go of that attachment to the outcome that the magic really happens.
In many ways I feel that my classes are more beneficial for a client than coming for a course of treatment with me, because you leave with the tools to really help yourself. Certainly you can also help other people too, but for the majority of my students it is the transformation that they feel in themselves that is the most important. Here’s what one of my students said recently:
I have just completed my Reiki level 1 and it is one of the best things I have done in my life so far. Not only has it balanced me out, but the peace I have found within myself is something I thought I would never have .Life is so busy these days that we don’t have the time to sit and just be, and even when we have we don’t know how.
Reiki is about finding a new way of living your life, so that you can cope with life’s challenges in a more measured way. On a Reiki 1 course you will learn everything you need to know, but it is your personal practice that determines whether it will work for you. To me it is the self-healing aspect that is more important, because the practice of Reiki is essentially a spiritual practice.
You can find out more about my Reiki courses elsewhere on the website or give me a call if you want to find out how the practice of Reiki could help you.
