Flower Essences have been used for thousands of years, particularly to help with emotional issues. Rescue Remedy is probably the most famous flower essence in the world, but there are now hundreds of different essences available from around the world.
While it is often best to visit a qualified practitioner who can make up an essence for your individual requirements, you can buy ‘off-the-shelf’ combination essences to help with a multitude of common problems.
For example, my family always use essences to avoid suffering from jetlag. My preference is Travel Essence from Australian Bush Flower Essences, but many other producers have similar products. The first time I used it we went to Japan, which is a 12 hour flight with a 9 hour time difference and we were only staying for a week. On our first day we went on a coach tour to Mount Fuji and felt great, although others on the tour had been in Tokyo for several days and still hadn’t adjusted to the time difference. I also gave Travel Essence to a client of mine who was doing a charity jungle trek in Thailand. When she arrived in Bangkok she felt awake enough to go off sightseeing although others in her group had to go straight to bed!
This summer we went to the States and unfortunately as we came into land I dropped my bottle of Travel Essence and it rolled away. I spent the next 2 weeks trying to find some more in health food stores for the return journey and ended up ordering some online to come to our last hotel. Sadly it didn’t arrive before we left and in the end I used the homeopathic remedy Arnica ( always in my First Aid Kit) to ward off jet lag.
There are also essences for trauma and emergencies (like Rescue Remedy), essences to help children study better, essences to improve your confidence and many, many more. I am running a half day workshop on 9th November when I will be showing you how to choose the essences you need to get through life’s ups and downs. Find out more HERE
