The system of Reiki is a spiritual healing practise that helps people to find balance, calm and focus in their life. It has much in common with meditation and as such can be learnt by anyone wishing to help themselves with the effects of stress and anxiety or a treatment can be received from a trained practitioner. There is no need to remove any clothing and treatments can be received while sitting in a chair or lying on a massage couch. It is entirely safe as it involves no manipulation, oils, pills or potions. The practice of Reiki originated in Japan in the early twentieth century, but has become popular in the West during the past twenty years.
Reiki practitioners and teachers work in many healthcare settings around the world, including major hospitals, offering Reiki treatments and classes to patients, staff and relatives. Research is limited, but there are several studies from the US that suggest that Reiki treatments reduce anxiety and sometimes pain levels. Recipients usually feel very relaxed at the very least.

Flower Essences are very effective for emotional issues and Bach’s Rescue Remedy is a perfect example of this; since the 1930s the Bach Flower Remedies have helped people cope with the emotional ups and downs of life. There is now a wide range of essences from all over the world, many available in local health food stores or over the internet. While these ‘over-the-counter’ remedies work well for generalised issues, personalised essences can be made up specifically for an individual by a qualified Flower Essence Practitioner.

While one treatment or remedy can be beneficial, it is by far the best option for your long term improvement to take a course of treatment. The shortest programme is 3 sessions over 4-5 weeks with various other options leading up to a 12 week programme with online support between appointments. There are considerable cost savings by choosing a treatment package.
